This page explains how to delete your account in Museli, the guitar learning and practice app available as "Museli: Daily Guitar Practice" on the App Store and Google Play. Museli is developed by MUSELI PTY LTD (ABN 53 657 020 990). It also explains what happens to your data when you delete your account. If you have any questions, contact us at compliance@museli.app.
How to delete your account in the app
- Open Museli and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Tap You (the person icon on the right of the bottom bar).
- Scroll down to MORE and tap Delete account.
- Read the notice, then slide to confirm.
Museli then signs you out on that device and clears the account's practice data and files from it. Before you start, read What happens next: opening Museli on another device can cancel your request.
What happens next
- 30-day grace period. Your account is scheduled for deletion and permanently deleted 30 days after your request.
- Signing in again cancels the request. So does opening Museli on any other device where you are still signed in, even if you do nothing else in the app. Before you delete your account, sign out of Museli on every other device (You › MORE › Sign out), and don't open Museli with that account until the 30 days are up.
- After 30 days we permanently delete the data listed under What we delete. If you'd like confirmation once this is done, email compliance@museli.app.
- Sign in with Apple or Google. You can also remove Museli's access in your Apple Account or Google Account settings.
What we delete
When the grace period ends, we permanently delete:
- your account profile: your name, email address and membership status;
- your sign-in methods (email and password, Google or Apple) and your Firebase sign-in account;
- your practice profile (instrument, level and preferences);
- your practice sessions and lesson attempts, including ratings and practice notes;
- your library items;
- feedback you sent from the app;
- your device and push-notification records (device identifier, time zone and notification token);
- your lesson recordings; and
- your practice summary and in-app notifications.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Billing is handled by Apple or Google, so cancel your Museli subscription there first:
- iPhone or iPad: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Museli and tap Cancel Subscription.
- Android: open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions, choose Museli and tap Cancel subscription.
Staff access
Authorised Museli staff may access your account data, including recordings and uploads, where this is needed to provide support, to handle your requests or to keep the Service secure.
